MacDougall Steel Erectors Inc. was founded in 1998 by Ron and Gloria MacDougall. Based upon his twenty years of experience in the structural steel industry, Ron felt that he could provide a superior service and product for the region and went to work, initially concentrating on miscellaneous metals and small erection jobs. Within a short period of time, Ron’s reputation for excellence brought many clients and company grew by leaps and bounds to become what it is today.
MSE is founded upon the pillars of safety, integrity, excellence, and customer service.
We are currently in partnership discussions with the George Gordon First Nation on the same Joint Venture arrangement as we have with other aboriginal groups in other parts of the Country. We would be pleased to be pre-qualified onto your bidders list, to possibly be part of the team on the “Vale – Kronau Potash Project.”
Capacity
When operating at capacity, MSE employs fabricators, welders, 2 certified welding inspectors, erection specialists, project managers and administrative support staff. Working together we can meet or exceed our customer’s requirements; our turn-around time is unparalleled and our product and service is excellent.
MSE has the capability to fabricate more than 2000 man hours of structural steel each week. To process this amount of steel, we utilize in house detailers and a network of experienced detailers to create anchor bolt, erection, and shop drawings for each component of the required structural steel. MSE projects are designed, managed, manufactured and installed with state of the art technology using soft wear like FabSuite, Tekla Structures, AutoCad, Inventor, SolidWorks, and many more. Our detailers are capable of detailing the simplest structures to the most complex, as well as miscellaneous metals of various sizes and shapes. Our designed-build capabilities allow us to work with our customers from concept to a completed structure, taking their vision and making it a reality is an increasingly dynamic part of what we do at MSE.
